The bustling Embassy Suites Orlando Airport is looking for their next Sales & Catering Coordinator to join their sales team. This 174-suite property is located less than 10 minutes from the Orlando International Airport terminal, just a short drive from the Orange County Convention Center, USTA, Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld Orlando, and the Walt Disney World Resort. The ideal candidate will possess three years of customer service experience that involved heavy computer usage as well as strong organization, time management, and multi-tasking abilities. It would be an asset to have hotel front office experience, ideally at a Hilton property, using OnQ and/or Delphi FDC. Shift Pattern:

As a Sales & Catering Coordinator, you will provide the director and managers of Sales and Banquets with administrative and clerical support, as well as assist on special projects as needed in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specific responsibilities of the role include: Initiate the preparation of proposals and/or contracts to advise prospective customers primarily of the hotel guest rooms, but also meeting space and/or banquet date, space and rate availability Initiate reservations for group attendees, prepare rooming lists, revise existing reservations, build group blocks in the PMS as needed Communicate to external customers any communication deemed necessary by the event service managers Assist the Sales Managers upon request to conduct site inspections with potential customers, visiting guest rooms, meeting space and banquet facilities, as well as other hotel facilities Data entry using Delphi, Microsoft Word and Excel Copying and distributing internal/external letters, forms, bookings, contracts, resumes, room lists, schedules, and mail E-mail correspondence directed by managers as needed Filing, faxing, and distribution of incoming/outgoing mail Answer telephone and assist internal and external guests with requests Attend weekly sales departmental meetings and other scheduled meetings to support business operations, such as group pickup meetings, weekly operations meetings, and weekly sales meetings Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required by management What are we looking for?
