We are building a sustainable future for local news. At WTLV WJXX-TV First Coast News, a TEGNA-owned ABC/NBC affiliate in Jacksonville, we are looking for our next Account Executive. As an Account Executive, you are responsible for achieving or exceeding the individual sales goals across all TEGNA marketing solutions from linear TV to digital, including OTT with PREMION. You will act as a lead generator by identifying and reaching clients in the Jacksonville market that will best take advantage of our solutions. You then become a marketing consultant to the clients helping them define and achieve their business objectives. Current driver’s license and ability to operate a news gathering vehicle to and from various locations is required.
What You Will Do
Prospect for new revenue opportunities using client and category insights.
Upsell current clients by engaging them in the full product line of WTLV WJXX-TV offerings.
Create custom solutions-driven campaigns that meet client needs across multiple media platforms including broadcast, digital, and Streaming (OTT).
Seek opportunities to expand relationships with key clients by understanding their business needs and competitive landscape.
Establish strong relationships with internal team members by providing the Account Management team with clear direction for campaign execution.
Partner with your Account Manager to provide exceptional customer service and contract fulfillment.
Strategically utilize Matrix and station CRM to manage day-to-day activity, pipeline, and forecasts.
Represent the media group to the community at events and with surrounding businesses in a positive and professional manner.
What You Need
7-10 years of account engagement in a professional, fast-paced media sales environment.
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals and developing new business opportunities as a seller.
Knowledge of marketing solutions including broadcasting and digital advertising (audio and interactive) and a desire to continuously learn.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems; ability to leverage technology to project manage workload and achieve goals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with clients, co-workers, and vendors; ability to write/edit compelling proposals.
A creative mindset to develop campaigns that solve client needs and the ability to work well in a team.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong business acumen, attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
Self-motivation and a strong work ethic.
