Choux Designs is a full-service residential interior design and cabinetry studio based in The Plains, VA, just outside Washington, DC and minutes from Middleburg. We work with clients across Northern Virginia, DC, Maryland, and beyond to create refined, functional, and timeless interiors grounded in architectural integrity and thoughtful design.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re seeking a
Mid- to Senior-Level Interior Designer
to join our growing team in a full-time, on-site role at our studio in The Plains. This is a hands-on position where you will be involved in all phases of the design process—from concept development and visualizations to technical documentation, sourcing, and project support. You will work closely with our principal and design team, contributing creatively while developing strong technical and client-facing skills within a collaborative, boutique studio environment. You’ll have the opportunity to work on and create visual design concepts and presentations, develop detailed floor plans and layouts and assist in preparing technical drawings and specifications. You’ll collaborate with contractors and trades to ensure accurate execution of design intent, communicate regularly with team members and clients, and support project management tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and documentation. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION WE ARE SEEKING
3-5+ years of residential interior design experience 1+ year professional work experience using SketchUp and Photoshop required Experience in architecture, cabinetry or construction is a strong plus Familiarity with tools such as Houzz Pro, Asana, Slack, or Dubsado is a plus Must have full-time availability (40 hours/week) and ability to work on-site in The Plains, VA at least 4 days per week (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm). No weekends required WHO YOU ARE
