We Insure is looking for an experienced Business Account Manager with strong knowledge of commercial insurance markets. This role provides prompt, accurate, and professional service to clients, producers, and internal partners while managing the servicing, renewal, and expansion of existing accounts.
The Business Account Manager supports company growth by collaborating with producers, management, and cross-functional teams on ongoing client needs and special projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage small and midsize commercial accounts
Partner with an Account Executive or Department Lead for guidance and training on client servicing
Prepare submissions for new and renewal business, market as appropriate, and prepare proposals
Process change requests and review audits and policies for accuracy
Set up and maintain new account files in Applied Epic following agency procedures
Invoice agency bill transactions within 48 hours and collect premiums accordingly
Notify producers of unpaid audits in a timely manner and coordinate next steps based on carrier guidelines
Review renewals with producers at least 120 days prior to expiration to determine marketing strategies
Prepare and process cancellations and follow up on notices per agency procedures
Respond to carrier communications and process required updates
Fulfill client requests including ID cards, certificates of insurance, binders, and evidence of coverage
Review policies and related documents for accuracy and deliver to insureds as needed
Work with producers to evaluate exposure, negotiate coverage, and review with clients when required
Identify and recommend additional coverage based on client needs and prepare quotes or proposals
Keep producers informed of key activity on assigned accounts
Review monthly reports including aged receivables, renewals, expirations, and suspense items
Performance Expectations
Service clients and accounts in a way that minimizes E&O exposure
Escalate issues that require management review or approval
Respond to calls and emails within 24 hours
Complete client requests such as certificates and binders within 24 hours
Maintain accurate, consistent documentation of all activity in Applied Epic
Use the Epic suspense system to track and follow up on outstanding items
Prioritize workload and request assistance as needed to manage volume
Participate in cross functional projects and additional duties as assigned
Stay current on rates, forms, and coverage changes through training and industry resources
Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and skill development opportunities
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of Business Account Management experience
High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred
Active Property and Casualty license required
Commercial lines insurance experience
Professional designation is a plus
Experience with Applied Epic preferred
Strong listening skills, attention to detail, and positive attitude
Solid knowledge of commercial insurance products and coverages
