Overview The Marketing Manager is responsible for executing, managing, and optimizing SHG’s owned and earned media strategies across multiple brands. This highly tactical role requires strong content development skills, fluency in brand management, and confidence overseeing agency and vendor partners.
You will drive the execution of weekly campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and new concept launches—while keeping content pipelines flowing, calendars organized, and brand identities distinct. This role also serves as the key internal storyteller, responsible for capturing the people, food, and values that power SHG’s community.
This is not a branding-only or strategy-only role. Success depends on your ability to deliver high-quality execution consistently and translate operational inputs into compelling content and campaigns.
Position Details
Owned Media Management
In collaboration with digital agency partner, plan and manage weekly email sends, organic social content, and loyalty program messaging
Capture or coordinate photo/video content for storytelling across all channels
Maintain brand websites, landing pages, and Google Business profiles
Lead internal content calendar across all SHG brands and concepts
Own day-to-day relationship with creative/digital vendors and freelancers
Build and maintain organized asset libraries for each brand
Earned Media & Community Management
Coordinate community partnerships, nonprofit collabs, and in-store cause marketing
Support PR efforts through content support and coordination with external partners
Source and respond to press opportunities and influencer requests
Support internal storytelling (staff spotlights, events, culture) for employer brand
Agency, Vendor & Project Coordination
Manage timelines and deliverables across multiple initiatives and agency partners (e.g., digital agency, freelance designers)
Act as an internal “brief writer” and editor to translate business goals into clear deliverables
Ensure quality and brand accuracy across all outsourced content
Campaigns & Launches
Execute microplans for new location openings, LTOs, pop-ups, events, and seasonal promotions
Support catering and retail events with collateral, signage, and promotion
Track and report on campaign outcomes across email, social, and in-store channels
Performance Tracking
Maintain simple dashboards or scorecards by brand (email, social, content volume, web traffic, etc.)
Flag missed deadlines, underperforming channels, or execution issues early
Contribute to annual and quarterly reporting in partnership with leadership

Defined marketing metrics are achieved
Each brand’s voice and identity is distinct, consistent, and cohesive
Weekly content is delivered on time and rooted in SHG’s people, product, and places
Campaigns and launches are organized, supported, and tracked
Creative and vendor partners feel clear, aligned, and well-managed
Marketing output supports sales goals, community impact, and brand growth
Essential Skills
4–5+ years of tactical marketing experience, including content execution and campaign management
Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple brands or locations
Strong writing, project management, and calendar coordination skills
Hands-on experience with email, social, and website platforms
Hospitality, food & beverage, or multiunit retail experience preferred
Bonus Skills
Canva, Adobe, or similar creative platforms
Email platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, etc.)
Website CMS tools (Squarespace, Wordpress)
Google Business, Yelp, and review management tools
Project management tools (Asana, Planner, Trello)
