We’re working with a well-established architecture and design practice seeking a
Senior Interior Designer
to join their institutional interiors team in New York. This role is suited to a designer with
7+ years of experience
delivering
large‑scale, technically complex projects
within sectors such as
healthcare, education, civic, cultural, or government work .
This is a highly collaborative, Revit-based role with significant responsibility across documentation, coordination, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead interior design packages on large-scale institutional projects from SD through CA
Produce and oversee Revit-based drawing sets, including detailed CDs and coordination models
Coordinate closely with architects, consultants, and client stakeholders
Contribute to space planning, material selection, and technical detailing
Review shop drawings, submittals, and respond to RFIs
Support and mentor junior team members
Ensure design intent, codes, and institutional standards are upheld through delivery
Key Requirements
7+ years of professional interior design experience
Strong background in institutional, healthcare, education, or civic interiors
Advanced proficiency in
Revit
(essential)
Proven experience working on
large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects
Strong technical knowledge and documentation skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a larger project team
Experience coordinating with consultants and navigating complex approvals
