Game Changers at River’s Edge Retreat
Game Changers is a program committed to ensuring every child has the opportunity to pursue a brighter future, regardless of financial or social circumstances. Scholarships are provided for our Game Changers and Summer Adventure Camp to families qualifying for free- or reduced-lunch programs. These scholarships are funded through membership fees, facility rentals, program fees, and targeted donations. By doing so, Game Changers continues to expand access to impactful programs and experiences for all children.
Role Description This is an on-site role for a Camp Director located in the Columbia, South Carolina Metropolitan Area. The Camp Director will oversee the daily operations of the camp, including planning, organizing, and executing camp programs and activities. Responsibilities involve leading and managing staff, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants, fostering an enriching and inclusive environment, and maintaining clear communication with staff, parents, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Experience with camp operations and leadership
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Skills in youth development and experience working with children
Exceptional customer service abilities
Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills
Commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging, and safe environment
First aid and CPR certification preferred
Degree or relevant experience in education, recreation, or related fields
