Regional Philanthropy Officer - Corporate Donors

Location:

Greater Houston area

The American Red Cross is seeking a Corporate Regional Philanthropy Officer who will meet fundraising goals and connect with donors to support our mission. You will identify, engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward current and prospective regional donors in expanding their financial support. This is a hybrid role (work from home and office) with travel within the Gulf Coast Region to meet with donors.

Responsibilities

Fundraising strategy: Collaborate with leadership to create and execute a comprehensive corporate fundraising plan.

Disaster relief fundraising: Drive immediate impact to help donors support urgent Red Cross needs.

Performance monitoring: Track fundraising metrics and adjust strategies to achieve targets.

Donor engagement: Maintain regular updates to Salesforce and ensure effective prospecting efforts.

Identify and cultivate corporate donor strategies to secure financial support for initiatives.

Develop tailored engagement strategies to enhance philanthropic impact and community involvement.

Assist corporations in achieving branding, marketing, and employee engagement goals; align Red Cross programs to donor interests.

Relationship management: Build and sustain two-way strategic relationships with key stakeholders at corporate partner organizations.

Serve as primary point of contact for corporate donors and mentor volunteers who support the mission.

Collaboration and outreach: Work with cross-functional teams to align partnerships with community needs and organizational objectives; represent the organization at events.

What Will Give You the Competitive Edge

Significant fundraising experience with Houston corporations.

Proven track record of securing major gifts and meeting or exceeding fundraising goals.

What You Need to Succeed

Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of corporate fundraising, sales, and/or relationship management experience.

Proven track record of securing corporate donations and managing partnerships.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

A current valid driver’s license and good driving record; ability to drive to other locations (fleet vehicles may be available at the Houston office).

Combination of education and general experience that meets the minimum requirements.

This role is not eligible for relocation assistance.
