As an Outside Food Sales Representative, you will cultivate relationships, develop new business, and provide innovative solutions to our customers, helping them to achieve their goals and, in return, yours! Department: Commercial and Street Sales Division Location: Columbus, Ohio Job Title: Outside Sales Representative Employment Type: Full time Primary duties include building and managing the sales relationship with existing and prospective customers within the assigned territory, pursuing new customers, and driving sales growth. Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall sales and relationship management efforts for existing and prospective customers within the assigned territory. Pursue new customers and develop strategies that highlight Gordon Food Service products, services, values, and solutions. Visit customers within the assigned territory on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis as appropriate. Conduct business reviews to determine customer needs and opportunities for growing sales. Provide ongoing training to customers on Gordon Food Service product offerings. Identify opportunities within existing customers where Gordon Food Service can add value through products and services. Sales Territory Management

Balance new customer acquisition with deepening and strengthening existing relationships. Coordinate visits to prospective and existing customers and communicate order status and processing updates. Role & Training (90-Day Onboarding)

Gordon Food Service’s goal during your first 90 days is to set you up for success. This includes engagement in training offerings (e-learning, classroom sessions, video roleplays, job shadowing, and mentor support). You will learn: How to use Gordon Food Service systems, processes, and tools to manage customer relationships Product knowledge available to Gordon Food Service customers The sales process for engaging new customers How to establish relationships within the network of Gordon Food Service resources Best practices for developing relationships with current and prospective customers Strategies to effectively manage your territory Position Requirements

High School Diploma/GED required Bachelor's degree and/or culinary certificate preferred 1 year of prior sales, business, or food service experience Maintaining a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record Gordon Food Service encourages veterans and active military members to apply.
