Position Summary
The Marketing and Events Assistant provides essential administrative and logistical support to Family Health Center of Worcester’s marketing, communications, and fundraising activities. This role focuses on assisting with day-to-day tasks that help ensure smooth execution of marketing strategies, event coordination, and donor engagement efforts. Responsibilities include scheduling, data entry, maintaining records, preparing materials, and supporting general office operations related to marketing and events. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide administrative and logistical support for marketing, communications, and fundraising activities. Assist with day-to-day tasks to ensure smooth execution of marketing strategies, event coordination, and donor engagement initiatives. Help create and update content for social media, newsletters, email campaigns, and the organization’s website. Support the production and distribution of marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, and event signage. Coordinate event logistics, including setup, registration, attendee check-in, and basic troubleshooting during events. Serve as the main point of contact for community-based tabling events, including patient appreciation events such as the current

event. Track RSVPs, maintain guest lists, and assist with invitations and promotional materials for events. Prepare event acknowledgment letters, mailing lists, and simple fundraising reports. Maintain organized files and records related to marketing, events, and fundraising efforts. Update and ensure accuracy of donor database (Bloomerang) and other tracking systems as it relates to events. Manage inventory of marketing and event supplies and coordinate printing and mailing needs. Provide general administrative support for Marketing and Development projects as assigned. Any and all other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Education Requirements
Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of social media platforms. Comfort with learning new software (e.g., donor databases, project management software, email marketing tools, website platforms). Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. Ability to work collaboratively and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude and willingness to assist with a variety of tasks. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Exercise discretion and confidentiality, including HIPAA compliance. Education: Required: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, business, or related field. Required: 1–2 years of administrative experience or office support. Familiarity with basic marketing tasks (social media posting, simple design tools, email platforms). Preferred: Experience supporting events or fundraising activities. Exposure to marketing or development in a nonprofit or healthcare setting. Reporting Relationship
Director of Marketing and Communications and receives additional guidance from the Director of Annual Giving & Events. EOE Monday-Friday; 8:30am-5:00pm.
