Overview
Direct Markets Account Executive - Utah. Zurich Direct Markets specializes in offering Property and Casualty insurance and F&I products to the automotive industry, supported by a dedicated field sales team. We are seeking a top-performing outside sales professional in the Utah territory.
Responsibilities
Prospecting: Identify and develop new business prospects, focusing on Property and Casualty insurance for large automotive dealers, and support F&I product marketing within the assigned territory.
Attend automotive industry events to promote Zurich’s sales and marketing initiatives.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers; communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders via various channels (in-person and virtual).
Closing: Manage and grow the assigned territory to achieve profitability and exceed sales targets.
Direct Sales: Conduct sales presentations in-person or via Microsoft Teams.
Consulting: Collaborate with field team members to ensure seamless program and product implementation and strengthen customer relationships.
Building Market Share: Work remotely in an entrepreneurial environment.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent with 1+ years of sales experience
OR Completion of a Zurich-approved Apprenticeship program with an Associate Degree (no prior sales experience required).
Ability to obtain insurance sales licenses where required.
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of business-to-business outside sales experience.
Strong understanding of direct sales principles, closing techniques, and industry-specific terminology.
Familiarity with insurance industry regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Current insurance sales licenses (where required) or the ability to be licensed.
Experience with financial statement analysis.

Compensation and Benefits Your pay is based on role, location, skills, and experience, with local laws observed. You may be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The annual variable compensation range is $225,000 - $275,000, based on performance under the sales incentive plan.
