
Key Account Manager – High Proof Spirits Division

The Key Account Manager (KAM) for the High Proof Spirits Division at Superior Beverage Group is responsible for managing strategic relationships with decision-makers across assigned on‑premise key accounts. This role focuses on driving sales performance and execution of spirits programming while ensuring optimal distribution, pricing, brand presence, and promotional activity. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for a large geographic territory and must be prepared for extensive drive time.
KAMs serve as a primary point of contact for their accounts, coordinating supply logistics, retail engagement, and internal communication to support the successful execution of Superior Beverage Group’s spirits portfolio strategy. We are seeking qualified candidates across the Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, and Toledo market areas.

Key Account Manager Typical Duties
Sales/Brokerage Execution & Account Management
Manage all sales/brokerage activities and drive attainment of goals within Superior Beverage Group’s assigned geographic areas.
Promote Superior Beverage Group spirits brands through personal selling efforts and regular contact with accounts.
Execute company and supplier‑driven strategies and programs to support brand growth.
Develop and maintain consultative relationships with buyers to ensure alignment with sales objectives.
Conduct regular sales calls with decision‑makers and influencers to maintain strong account relationships.
Coordinate and execute menu pours, drink specials, and promotional activity to optimize product placement and visibility (On‑Premise).
Achieve targets for shelf management and ensure execution of pricing, promotions, and merchandising plans.
Retail Standards & Market Execution
Ensure retail standards are met across all accounts.
Follow up on execution through retail visits.
Maintain and update tools such as Ad Calendars, Retail Activity Reports, and promotional trackers.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with supplier representatives and internal teams to align goals and execution plans.
Attend regular meetings with leadership to report on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
Keep the sales leadership informed of developments that may impact performance or strategy.
Compliance & Professional Conduct
Ensure all customer service issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
Complete all required training and certifications as directed.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies related to high‑proof alcohol brokerage and distribution.
Stay informed on industry regulations and best practices.
Organizational Stewardship
Maintain open communication with company leadership and staff to support a collaborative work environment.
Take initiative to understand roles beyond your own to support succession planning and organizational agility.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
Five to Seven (5‑7)+ years of sales experience, preferably in the CPG industry.

Ability to manage and drive across a large geographic territory with extensive drive time.
Strong ability to build and maintain consultative relationships with buyers and key decision‑makers.
Demonstrated proficiency in executing pricing, promotions, merchandising, menu placements, and on‑premise brand activation.
Experience promoting and selling spirits brands through personal selling efforts and regular account contact.
Ability to manage sales/brokerage activities and achieve sales goals within assigned territories.
Ability to maintain and use field tools, including ad calendars, retail activity reports, and promotional trackers.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with supplier representatives, internal teams, and leadership.
Ability to resolve customer service issues professionally and promptly.
Commitment to compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and company policies.
Physical ability to frequently drive, stand, walk, bend/stoop, reach above, and lift 0–50 lbs as required by the role.
