The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for developing new leads, communicating with customers and vendors, understanding their needs and ensuring a smooth sales process. The Inside Sales Representative must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and closing sales.
Responsibilities
Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
Understand customer needs and requirements.
Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure.
Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest.
Customer retention focused through a proactive touch model
Partner with Marketing to support lead and demand generation
Partner with Outside Sales to support large customers and lead generation
Partner with Customer Experience to support quote conversion.
Responsible for warehouse inventory management including frequent counts, reordering and maintaining of adequate inventory levels.
Check-in incoming freight and parcel truck deliveries.
Pull and pack parts/orders per customer request.
Daily work in ERP system generating quotes, purchase orders, and customer orders to include follow up calls and electronic communications with vendors and customers.
Generation of shipping labels for various carriers.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or beyond
1+ years of sales, sales development, and/or account management experience
Microsoft Office proficiency (including Outlook, Excel, etc.), ERP Systems, CRM Knowledge
Comfortable working fluidly across personal and digital communications channels.
2+ years of customer success or customer service experience
Knowledge of fluid power systems
Fluid power systems training/certifications
Knowledge of the MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) industry
Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and effectively manage time in a fast-paced environment.
Strong phone presence
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong listening and presentation skills
Strong organization skills
