SUMMARY Under the direction of the Member Service Center Manager, develop new business by promoting Credit Union offerings to new and existing members. Generate new and increased loan volume, uncover member needs through personal contact, cross‑sell products, and provide automated services. Assist Branch Management with fee‑refunding recommendations and perform savings‑related and loan‑related duties. Oversee the Indirect Lending Program and ensure compliance with policies and procedures while meeting Credit Union goals for loan servicing, member servicing, and portfolio growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide courteous, personal service to members; analyze needs, match products, promote automated services, and open/modify accounts.

Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing; investigate account problems and determine refunding fees within authority.

Acquire and maintain loan officer certification; work on all loans from MFA, ensuring accurate decisions and recommendations per Credit Union policies.

Perform quality control, loan record maintenance, and file preparation; submit necessary reports to management.

Correct member account errors, calculate penalties and dividends, and manage automated transaction processing.

Assist with membership development, marketing calls, and product innovation to improve service and workflow.

Identify and communicate quality improvement opportunities; support special projects related to Indirect Lending.

Complete required training and compliance on federal regulations and Credit Union policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education equivalent to high school with at least 2 years of college training or comparable experience.

2–3 years of experience in financial‑institution products, loan applicant interviewing, and loan decision authority; sales experience preferred.

Knowledge of consumer credit laws; strong communication, customer service, teamwork, problem‑solving, and numeracy skills.

Detail oriented and able to work independently.

COMPENSATION $18.94 – $23.67 per hour, based on experience and education.
