is a global leader in providing critical medical diagnostic and data management products for rapid blood analysis that are intuitive, reliable, and cost-effective. The i-STAT System is a portable diagnostic tool that provides real-time, lab-quality results to accelerate patient-care decision-making, with a comprehensive menu of tests including blood gases, electrolytes, chemistries, coagulation, hematology, glucose, and cardiac markers. By delivering lab-quality results in minutes, our system fosters a collaborative, patient-centered environment while driving improved operational performance.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Point of Care Solutions Specialist in the Abbott Point of Care (APOC) Division, selling to hospitals and outpatient facilities in Utah and southern Idaho. The Point of Care Solutions Specialist works independently within an assigned territory, leading commercial execution to increase market share and drive sustainable growth. The role partners with internal support teams to identify opportunities and develop strategies that move sales cycles forward. The position reports to the District Manager and requires up to 50% travel to provide customer-focused service and support business goals.

What you will work on

Achieve sales targets through efficient and effective sales cycle and territory management.

Maintain sales base while closing new business in both new and existing accounts.

Navigate complex sales environments with multiple stakeholders and dynamic decision-making criteria, while building relationships.

Develop and execute sales strategies, anticipate risks, and implement mitigation plans.

Utilize available resources effectively.

Complete administrative tasks (training modules, expense reports, sales forecasts, etc.) promptly and accurately.

Travel within the assigned territory up to 50% with some regional and overnight travel required to support business goals.

Understand and comply with all applicable EHS policies, procedures and guidelines.

Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the Quality System.

Required Qualifications Preferred Qualifications

Documented history of being a consistent sales overachiever (e.g., President’s Club winner).

Consistently ranks among the top 20% in peer sales group.

Diagnostics, point of care (POC), lab, or capital equipment sales experience.

Established contacts at IDNs and Hospital Systems within the assigned territory.

Strong MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) skills.

Proficiency with Salesforce.com or similar CRM platform.

Attended multiple sales training courses (e.g., Challenger, Miller Heiman) and actively uses one or more effective sales methodologies.

The base pay for this position is $68,000.00 – $136,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
