Move material to appropriate areas throughout the plant and document in accordance with established procedures. Load/Unload trucks and document transaction in accordance with established procedures./ppstrongResponsibilities/strong/pulliMove freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment./liliSort cargo before loading and unloading./liliAttach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information./liliRead work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets./liliMaintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected./liliPack containers and re-pack damaged containers./liliCarry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use./liliMove materials, equipment, or supplies./liliSort materials or objects for processing or transport./liliLoad shipments, belongings, or materials./liliMark materials or objects for identification./liliReceive information or instructions for performing work assignments./liliReview work orders or schedules to determine operations or procedures./liliRecord operational or production data./liliSecure cargo./liliPosition material handling equipment./liliOperate moving or lifting equipment./liliMonitor cargo area conditions./liliClean facilities or work areas./liliPackage materials or products./liliConnect cables or electrical lines./liliShovel materials./liliSet up material handling gear or equipment and packaging./liliMaintain material moving equipment in good working condition. Physical activities required of this job include but are not limited to considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body include climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, standing, stooping, and handling tools and materials./ppThe employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus./ppExerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force to frequently lift, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time; however, it may involve walking and standing for brief periods of time.
