The ideal candidate will assist the Clubhouse Supervisor with overseeing the daily operations of the golf course and clubhouse. When the term is over, it is considered a voluntary resignation./ppClassification Specification:/ppExample of Duties:/pulliTrain, supervise, and evaluate golf course operational staff./liliPrepare work schedules based on policies and budget./liliEnforce employee handbook and staff rules./liliMonitor golf calendar for leagues, outings, and events./liliSupervise operation, scheduling, and cleanliness of golf carts./liliEnsure quality round and golfing experience for customers./liliOversee WSGA Handicap system for leagues and general play./liliAssist in recruitment, education, and promotion of Junior Golf programs./liliPrepare daily cash reports and reconcile transactions./liliMaintain cleanliness and safety of golf course buildings and surrounding areas./liliMake decisions on playability or cart usage in absence of Clubhouse Supervisor or Golf Course Superintendent./liliAttend meetings as required./liliOversee inventory and merchandising of pro shop stock and food and beverage inventory./liliAssist in social networking, website maintenance, and promotion of golf courses./liliAssist and staff Moor Downs Golf Course when needed./liliMonitor on-course amenities and pace of play./liliEnsure yardage markers, hazard stakes, and play amenities adhere to golf rules./li/ulpMinimum Qualifications:/ppEssential Knowledge and Abilities:/pulliKnowledge of the rules of golf, golf course etiquette, inventory merchandising, and food and beverage service./liliWorking knowledge of the golf and hospitality industry./liliWorking knowledge of golf rules and etiquette./liliAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including providing excellent customer service./liliAbility to provide, and follow, oral and written instructions./liliAbility to work independently or in a team environment./liliAbility to safely operate tools and equipment necessary to perform the duties of the position./liliAbility to establish and maintain effective working and public relations with co-workers, supervisors, and the public./liliAbility to effectively interact with sensitivity with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, ethnic, and professional backgrounds, and persons of all ages and lifestyles./liliAbility to manage crowds./liliAbility to accurately count and handle money and operate a cash register./liliAbility to withstand exposure to variable and unfavorable weather conditions./liliAbility to stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push/pull, and lift up to 50 lbs, on a frequent basis./li/ulpYou must meet these Minimum Training and Experience requirements:/pulli18 years of age./lili8th grade education./liliValid drivers license./liliSome recent supervisory work experience./li/ulpPreferred:/pulliPrevious experience in golf course operations or related field./liliCash handling and customer service work experience./liliGolf Instruction./liliSafe food handling, CPR, and First Aid certification./li/ulpAbout Us: Waukesha County prides itself on operating in a business-like manner and is recognized as a leader delivering high quality services with competence and skill.
