Mortgage Loan Shipper
The Mortgage Loan Shipper prepares and delivers mortgage loan files to investors both electronically and by certified mail. This position coordinates with and provides back-up to other Mortgage Loan Services associates. The Mortgage Loan Shipper prepares and uploads or ships loan packages according to investor guidelines to ensure timely loan purchases. Essential duties and responsibilities include: Shipping FHA, VA, Conventional, Rural Development and various state Bond loans to investors. Preparing daily reports for manager to monitor various stages of the shipping process. Working directly with the Mortgage Loan Officer and closers to ensure the utmost in customer service. Referring customers to bank personnel as needed. Performing research on bank systems. Performing daily duties on all mortgage systems. Complying with all legal and regulatory guidelines related to the mortgage industry. Identifying cross sell opportunities. Completing required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. Performing any other related duties as required or assigned. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and experience: High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Communication skills: Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Mathematical skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Critical thinking skills: Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature. Software skills required: Basic: 10-Key, Accounting, Alphanumeric Data Entry, Database, Payroll Systems, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing Working conditions: Periodically exposed to such elements as noise, intermittent standing, walking, occasionally pushing, carrying, or lifting; but none are present to the extent of being disagreeable. Environmental conditions: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Physical activities: Moderate diversity, low physical. Work activities which allow for a moderate amount of diversity in the performance of tasks which are not as varied as those positions with high-level diversity and decision-making. While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; frequently required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; an.
