Located in Myrtle Beach./ppstrongJob Summary:/strong The Physical Therapist is responsible for planning and administering physical therapy treatment plans designed to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disabilities, and promote overall fitness and health of patients./ppstrongResponsibilities:/strong/polliCompletes patient evaluations based on information obtained through history, observation, subjective and objective measurements. Develops plan of care most appropriate to the patients learning style and therapeutic needs, communicating goals with the patient and/or family members, considering psycho-social, cultural and spiritual needs of patients and/or families./liliProvides therapeutic interventions for a wide variety of physical and/or functional limitations related to, but not limited to musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, and developmental impairments, documenting progress with measurable and functional goals./liliMaintain patient records according to hospital policy, completing evaluations, re-evaluations, progress and treatment notes, charges, and discharge summaries within departmental time guidelines./liliAssists in adjusting schedules to accommodate changes in caseload in the department. Supervises operation of specific treatment team. Meets with PTA on regular basis to discuss patient and set goals./liliContributes to the overall performance of the department through professional development strategies, including, but not limited to competency training, clinical instructor, in service coordination, serving as a mentor in area of clinical expertise, program leader, attendance of meetings, and performance improvement ideas./liliDemonstrates continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in education offerings, independently achieve and maintain CEUs for SC LLR./liliCommunicates with physicians, other medical personnel and members of the interdisciplinary medical team regarding treatment provided, patients progress or complications, recommendations, and clarification of orders./liliUtilizes appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff.
