Department Specialists will also assist in maintaining clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness./ppEssential Duties and Responsibilities/ppCustomer Service/pulliProject a positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware./liliProactively assist customers in solving problems./liliGreet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store./liliProject a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates./liliEnsure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively./liliForward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management./liliPossess good product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products./li/ulpStore Operations/pulliResponsible for cycle counting and maintaining desirable inventory level in assigned department(s)./liliWork with management staff to ensure preventative maintenance and repairs are completed in order to maximize and protect all physical assets (i.e. building, fixtures and equipment)./liliEnsure accurate receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise in assigned department(s)./liliResponsible for maintenance of back stock levels in assigned department(s)./liliAssist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor merchandise area, especially in assigned department(s)./liliAssist with overall maintenance of the store./liliEnsure that weekly price changes are done in assigned department(s)./liliEnsure that monthly cycle counts and negative on hand reports are completed in assigned department(s)./liliAssist with providing a clean and orderly sales floor including end caps and ad merchandise./liliAssist with merchandise resets throughout store, especially in assigned department(s)./liliEnsure signage is current in assigned department(s)./liliOperate forklift with proper training./liliCommunicate any Store Support Center issue to General Manager for follow up./liliParticipate in store meetings./liliCommunicate any merchandising, cost control or sales ideas to General Manager./liliBe professional in appearance and actions./liliPerform all other duties as assigned./li/ulpOther Essential Requirements/pulliAbility to exhibit and incorporate our Core Values into daily decisions and interactions with others:/liliSERVICE
