Pay: $50-$60/hr+ depending on experience (W2 and benefit options)
The Planet Group is looking for a Senior Art Director to work with our well-known beauty client. This is a 4-month contract position to cover for an employee leave.
This is a hands-on creative role responsible for leading the concepting, design direction, and execution of 360 campaigns. The Senior Art Director collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, brand partners, and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, client-centric creative across all platforms. You’ll be a key contributor to brand storytelling and visual identity in the fragrance category, bringing bold ideas and thoughtful design to life in support of business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Associate Creative Director (ACD) to develop strategic marketing campaign concepts to provide creative solutions that meets business objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of art directors and designers through project execution, overseeing resourcing and bandwidth planning.
- Build and direct team in development of creative decks, storyboards, shoot briefs, and design executions across multiple channels to visualize concept.
- Lead photoshoots and video shoots, art directing photographers, stylists, external vendors and agency partners to execute creative.
- Partner closely with copywriters, producers, and cross-functional partners to bring creative concepts to life.
- Present creative work to stakeholders and thoughtfully integrate feedback throughout the review process.
- Lead multiple projects, manage timelines, design approvals, and executional details across multiple concurrent workstreams.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of design and art direction experience, preferably in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle.
- Strong portfolio showcasing 360 campaign work and elevated design sensibility.
- On-set art direction and photo production experience required.
- Highly skilled in Adobe Creative Suite; Figma proficiency a plus.
- Confident communicator and team collaborator.
- Experience mentoring junior creatives and managing design workflows.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
