Caterpillar’s Customer Solutions Core Regions Division is hiring a

Product Support

Account Manager

within the Managed Accounts team. This role will have

What You’ll Do (Job Duties)

Develop and execute account strategy to deliver business results

Accountable for Product Support with some sales for Cat products and services i.e. machines work tools, technology, parts, and solutions

Build strong customer relationships, become trusted advisor across their business

Maintain and drive customer loyalty

Contact for account questions and concerns

Work closely with Cat dealer network to support account portfolio needs

What You Have (Core Skills)

Customer Focus:

Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

Effective Communications:

Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Industry Knowledge:

Knowledge of the organization’s industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking:

Knowledge of the decision‑making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Negotiating:

Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Account Management:

Ability to manage day‑to‑day activities, providing services and support to existing clients.

Top Candidates Will Also Have

Field experience working with Cat dealers and customers

Bachelors degree

Understanding of Caterpillar product line and solutions offerings

Business acumen i.e. sales variance management, machine value selling

Technical aptitude / mechanical background with heavy equipment

Additional Details

Travel: 50% (Domestic & International)

Territory/Accounts: Focused in U.S. and Canada

This position requires 5 days per week in the office (M‑F) when not traveling

About Customer Solutions Core Regions Division The Customer Solutions Core Regions Division is committed to solving customer challenges that extend beyond purchasing machines and parts. This team, alongside dealers, will engage more closely with customers, to create, customize and adapt solutions to meet their needs by leveraging the extensive range of offerings available today across products and services, digital and technology, rental and used, and financing. The division will be regionally on the unique needs of customers in core regions, focused on Americas North, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

Summary Pay Range $128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
