We are seeking a

German speaking

Bookkeeper/ Accountant

for our Business Processing Outsourcing Department in our Denver, CO office. We are looking for a candidate with strong organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to uphold professional standards. The primary location is Houston, TX (on-site if local). The team is open to candidates who can be on-site at our Birmingham, AL, or Denver, CO offices to assist the Houston team remotely. Responsibilities

This demanding role requires a positive, self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks to maintain high professional standards. Provide consultation to the client and its parent company on their accounting, business administration, and taxation needs. Take ownership of the client engagements assigned, anticipate issues, and develop a plan to complete the engagement within budget. Prepare financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual). Prepare various sales and use tax returns, personal property tax returns, and other related forms. Process payroll. Ensure timely completion and communicate project status internally. Research technical issues and discuss with Manager/Partner for further guidance. Perform other related duties as required. Required Skills & Experience

German language skills are required (native or fully professional proficiency). Associate's Degree in Accounting or higher, or German Steuerfachangestellte(r). Minimum of 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, including preparing financial statements and communicating with clients. Desired Skills & Experience

Experience using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SAP is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and work independently within an established administrative framework. Strong knowledge of US GAAP; knowledge of HGB is a plus. Basic knowledge of the US tax system. Team player who contributes to the success of a personable, highly motivated team. Demonstrates a high level of client-service orientation and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with discretion and understanding of clients’ needs. Ability to understand challenges facing partners and staff, and to manage/reschedule priorities effectively. Superior organizational skills and the ability to develop processes and follow through. Base Pay Range: $65,000-$80,000/yr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Culture
