Description The Apple TV Analytics team is seeking a highly experienced analytics leader to drive content performance and social / earned media insights across our streaming portfolio. This role is designed for a strategic, research-oriented thinker who can move beyond tracking metrics to determine which signals matter, when they matter, and how they should inform decisions.
Responsibilities
This role sits at the intersection of analytics, research, marketing, and content strategy.
The successful candidate thrives in ambiguous environments, is comfortable working with incomplete or noisy data, and brings strong judgment to framing hypotheses, selecting proxy signals, and synthesizing insights.
The work spans content performance, social and earned media interpretation, audience understanding, and decision support across marketing, content strategy, and development.
As the Apple TV offering spans a broad range of content types and markets, this role helps ensure performance is understood holistically across formates, platforms, and audiences.
The role also involves developing analytical frameworks to evaluate creative inputs—such as talent, format, or concept fit—using a combination of data, research, and informed judgment.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in analytics, insights, research, strategy, or a related field
Demonstrated ability to frame and solve open-ended, ambitious problems, including determining what questions to ask before determining how to analyze them
Proven track record translating complex quantitative and qualitative inputs into clear, executive-ready insights and recommendations
Strong analytical judgment, including comfort working with imperfect data and using proxy signals intentionally
Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets and presentation tools
Highly self, proactive, and capable of independently driving analytical work from problem definition through insight delivery
Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in streaming, media, entertainment, or digital platforms
Hands‑on experience with social analytics, social listening, and earned media measurement, with a focus on interpretation rather than tracking
Demonstrated ability to connect social and earned signals to downstream performance metrics, with strong judgment around when those signals are meaningful versus noisy
Background or training in research, audience insights, or behavioral analysis
Familiarity with subscription, audience, engagement, and retention metrics
Exposure to sports or live event programming a plus
Experience analyzing or supporting international or local-language content a plus
Experience applying analytics or research to creative or development decisions, where direct measurement may be limited
Experience with SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, or similar analytics tools
Strong collaborator who can influence cross‑functional partners through clarity of thinking and insight quality
