Scottsdale, Arizona. Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership, direction, and day-to-day oversight of the Financial Counseling team. Ensure patients receive clear, accurate, and compassionate financial education regarding treatment plans, insurance coverage, self-pay options, and payment expectations. Oversee insurance verification, benefits interpretation, authorizations, and financial clearance processes. Establish and maintain standardized financial counseling workflows, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance. Partner with clinic leadership, billing, and revenue cycle teams to optimize financial performance and reduce denials and patient confusion. Monitor and manage team performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) related to collections, conversion rates, patient satisfaction, and financial clearance timelines. Implement financial incentive pay for performance program to drive improved patient experience and achievement of KPIs. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and patient experience. Support complex financial cases and escalations, serving as a subject matter expert for insurance and fertility-specific coverage. Train, coach, and develop Financial Counselors, fostering a high-performing, patient-centered team culture. Ensure compliance with payer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal policies. Prepare reports and provide insights to leadership on financial counseling operations and trends. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Position Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required; degree in healthcare administration, finance, or related field preferred
Experience & Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare financial counseling, revenue cycle, or patient financial services At least 2–3 years of people leadership or management experience required Strong knowledge of insurance benefits, authorizations, and patient financial responsibility, preferably in fertility or specialty healthcare Fertility or reproductive healthcare experience strongly preferred Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive process improvement Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills Ability to balance patient advocacy with financial and operational goals
Annual Salary:
$100,000 - $120,000 (Final offers will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications). Benefits Package:
