Sr. Cybersecurity Advisor

Are you ready to be the digital guardian of a global powerhouse? As a Cyber Advisor at Caterpillar, you will not just protect systems, you will empower innovation. You will be the go-to expert for safeguarding our digital infrastructure, guiding teams through the ever-evolving cyber landscape, and making security not just a priority, but a culture. This position requires an initiative-taking individual with a strong background in cybersecurity, risk analysis, and technology management.

What You Will Do

Vulnerability Analysis and Reduction:

Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and work with business to implement strategies to mitigate risks.

Onboarding and Offboarding of Applications:

Manage the secure integration and removal of applications within the organization's IT environment.

Firewall Management:

Monitor the configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of firewalls to ensure robust network security.

API Security:

Ensure the secure development and deployment of APIs, including regular security testing and monitoring.

Technology Oversight:

Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies to enhance the organization’s security posture.

Develop and Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Develop KPIs and build and maintain Power BI dashboards for cybersecurity initiatives.

Cybersecurity Awareness Training:

Teach cybersecurity awareness at Caterpillar facilities, host cybersecurity escape rooms, plan and facilitate cybersecurity awareness month, teach cybersecurity skills to new employees.

Cybersecurity Consultation:

Assist the business with Logical Technical Architecture (LTA) implementation, onboarding new OT, IoT, network and other solutions, IAAS issue remediation, answer common cybersecurity questions, and ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.

Conduct Cybersecurity Research:

Conduct research to stay abreast of the latest attack vectors and remediation recommendations.

Projects:

Participate in projects to ensure cybersecurity best practices are implemented by the business throughout the project lifecycle.

What You Have

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Cybersecurity experience spanning several years.

Experience with agile/scrum methodology.

Experience in building customer-focused processes.

Experience in integrating security assessments in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Top Candidate Will Also Have

One or more professional information security certification(s) from an accredited institution (CISSP, CCSP, CISM, GCED, Linux, etc.).

Experience with Power BI dashboard creation and maintenance.

Excellent relationship-building, critical thinking, problem-solving, as well as written/verbal communication skills.

Additional Info

The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL, Irving, TX or Nashville, TN.

You must be willing to work 5 days onsite.
