The role leads the silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductor characterization team and provides technical leadership in characterization engineering. It supports the development of high-voltage (>1 kV) SiC power MOSFET devices and scales laboratory capabilities in alignment with Bosch’s strategic growth objectives. Work is performed within a simultaneous engineering (SE) team focused on delivering highly energy-efficient components for battery-based and fuel cell–based drive systems in automotive electronics. Responsibilities

Oversee strategic procurement, proactive maintenance, and maximized utilization of all laboratory equipment and resources, while implementing and upholding best practices. Align the lab scaling strategy with the overall Bosch SiC strategy. Drive lab efficiency, including the release of new measurement equipment according to Bosch requirements for the automotive market. Ensure a safe working environment for lab personnel. Perform characterization measurements (I–V characteristics, double pulse test, short circuit, etc.) of silicon carbide power MOSFETs. Own the accuracy and tolerance of deliverables and ensure compliance with specifications and quality objectives. Plan and execute HV lab activities as part of an international team. Coordinate with the project manager and application expert to consider costs, deadlines, quality, and assess project risks regarding technical feasibility and change requests. Assess and select the appropriate measurement technique. Participate in project reviews to present technical content. Your Profile (Qualifications)

Master’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, physics, or related education/experience. Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in semiconductor device testing. Understanding of team dynamics and leadership responsibilities. Solid knowledge of power semiconductor devices (MOSFETs) and characterization methods and measurement techniques. Experience with common lab equipment (oscilloscopes, probes, power supplies) and software (MATLAB, LabVIEW). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Collaborative team player with an entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to work across international departments. Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of power semiconductor manufacturing processes. Knowledge of PCB design or Altium Designer. Ability to travel internationally. Knowledge of German language is a plus. Contact & Additional Information
