Job Description The Student Enrollment and Data Team is focused on ensuring that schools are fully enrolled so that students are free to create the future they want for themselves and their communities. The team supports this vision through application acquisition and family onboarding, cultivation, and persistence. The Regional Manager of Student Recruitment (SRM) is responsible for developing a regional annual student in-field recruitment plan to achieve our organization’s application goals. This person will manage, coach, and hold the Recruitment & Community Coordinator(s) in their region accountable to meet their weekly and annual application goals.

Job Description The Recruitment and Community Coordinator (RCC) is responsible for outreach, community engagement, and implementing an annual student recruitment plan that aligns with our region’s student recruitment goals. This individual will be expected to spend the majority of their time focused on application acquisition efforts in the community. To be successful in this role, an RCC brings a track record for implementing successful recruitment strategies by using diverse in-field tactics, building relationships with neighborhood partners, and meeting weekly targets. An RCC should be comfortable working in an environment that requires you to juggle multiple priorities and competing deadlines, while never losing sight of the overarching goals and desired outcomes. An RCC must be available to work flexible hours, including some nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

Application Acquisition Efforts

Contribute to an overall application goal for the region through participation in recruitment activities.

Prepare for and execute recruitment activities which may include block walking, tabling, and participating in community events across the region.

Effectively pitch KIPP Texas as a school option to prospective families to meet the application goal for the recruitment activity.

Maintain weekly field plans to track recruitment investments, outcomes, and return on investment.

Orient volunteers during recruitment activities to accomplish assigned functions.

Follow up with leads through our CRM system.

Awareness and Nurture Strategy

Provide collateral and relevant marketing materials to businesses, daycare partners, apartment complexes, nonprofits, etc. to build awareness of our offerings.

Follow up with prospective community partners to secure potential recruitment opportunities or other resources.

Administrative Tasks

Join weekly check-ins with manager for direction, feedback, and coaching.

Participate in quarterly meetings and monthly professional development opportunities.

Field recruitment-related inquiries from School Leaders and Operations Leaders.

Work with community partners to identify opportunities for collaboration.

Upload all leads collected in the field into our CRM system.

Execute daily SchoolMint actions, including applying priority validations, removing duplicates, and updating unconfirmed addresses or phone numbers.

Qualifications Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and/or 4 years or similar experience.

Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Job-related experience with recruitment-related work in a business, nonprofit, education, community engagement, or advocacy organization is preferable.

Strong cultural competency and the ability to communicate with a diverse population.

Strong planning and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

Excellent interpersonal skills and an energetic attitude; ability to engage, cultivate, and steward relationships with community members and partners.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Attention to detail and self-motivation; able to work independently and as part of a team.

Integrity and commitment to the KIPP Texas mission and community.

Service-oriented, adaptable to change, and able to work under pressure.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google applications (Sheets, Docs, Drive); ability to quickly learn new technologies (SchoolMint, Slack, video conferencing).

Must have reliable transportation to travel between campuses and to community events/meetings.
