We are seeking a
Project Lead
with a problem-solving, growth-focused mindset to join the team. This is a unique opportunity for a self-sufficient contributor who possesses technical precision and design sensibility. You will be a central figure in working alongside Malek Alqadi. This role is not remote; it requires a physical presence for in-person design collaboration and frequent site visits across the
Palm Springs
and
SB County, Riverside County region .
Core Responsibilities
Design & Documentation:
Develop comprehensive Construction Documentation (CD) sets and intricate construction detailing using AutoCAD for permit submittals.
3D Visualization:
Immersive 3D models and renderings using SketchUp and Lumion (or similar) to communicate experiential design intent and visuals for project presentations.
Project Management & Permitting:
Lead the coordination of permit sets and navigate regulatory requirements; manage project timelines from ideation through site handover.
Site Supervision:
Conduct regular site visits to ensure construction aligns with design integrity, sustainability goals, and high-end quality standards.
Collaborative Execution:
Work closely with internal teams and external consultants in a fast-paced environment, maintaining clear and professional communication.
Qualifications & Requirements Technical Proficiency
Expert-level command of
AutoCAD
(Drafting & Construction Sets).
Advanced
SketchUp 3D
modeling and high-end rendering skills ( Lumion , V-Ray, or Enscape or similar).
Strong graphic design for presentations and portfolio-grade documentation. ( InDesign )
Deep understanding of construction detailing and material applications.
Education & Experience
Degree:
Professional B.Arch or M.Arch degree required.
Mindset:
A long-term, proactive mentality; someone who is self-motivated and thrives on solving complex spatial and structural problems. 3+ Years experience.
Communication:
Exceptional oral and written English; ability to translate technical complexities into clear project updates with clients and consultants.
Location & Eligibility
Residence:
Must currently reside in the
Southern California region , Ideally within the
Palm Springs, Riverside County, Inland Empire area for easy work commutes.
Authorization:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Mobility:
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for frequent site visits and on-site design work flows.
Projects & Learning Outcomes In this role, you will go beyond the desk. You will be responsible for the Design-Build lifecycle, moving daily from technical drafting to high-stakes site management. You will manage projects from the initial sustainable off-grid sketch to the final stone laid on a high-end residence.
