Job Summary The Server Assistant’s main duty is to facilitate food service and to maintain cleanliness for the front of the house. This position is designed to streamline the flow of operations within the dining area by aiding the service staff when needed.
Responsibilities
Report for duty punctually and in full uniform.
Set tables with clean linens, glassware, silverware between settings.
Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in food service areas or other areas of the restaurant.
Clean up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and remove empty bottles and trash.
Remove dirty dishware, glassware, and soiled linens from the table in a discrete and non-intrusive manner.
Maintain adequate supplies of items such as clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, or trays.
Stock cabinets or serving areas with condiments and refill condiment containers.
Polish silverware and fold linens for table settings when needed.
Locate items requested by customers.
Perform serving, cleaning, or stocking duties when necessary.
Wipe tables or seats.
Serve food to customers when waiters or waitresses need assistance.
Carry linens to or from laundry areas.
Other duties as directed.

Excellent observational skills and situational awareness.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills including dealing with difficult and rude patrons.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Prior restaurant experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, and wipe.
Must be able to walk/stand for entire shift.
Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly.
