What We Are Looking For

VML’s Medical Affairs team seeks a highly motivated Associate Medical Director with a deep understanding of science, medicine, and scientific communication. The role requires expertise in developing medical content for healthcare professionals (physicians and scientists). The ideal candidate is strategic, proactive, adaptable, capable of managing multiple projects with minimal supervision, and collaborates well with clients and colleagues to inspire creativity and positive results. What You’ll Do

Lead medical content development for assigned accounts. Design, prepare, and review analytical research and disease-state–focused materials with minimal supervision. Research various therapeutic areas and create concise briefs. Develop medical and scientific content, including publications (abstracts, posters, manuscripts) and educational slide decks. Maintain meticulous attention to detail, referencing all content from peer-reviewed sources or client-provided data, including highlighting and annotating per client guidelines. Provide scientific and strategic insights and direction to clients. Learn and understand new disease areas and drug information quickly. Present to clients and healthcare practitioners. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high quality. Collaborate with medical faculty. Independently manage client relationships and fulfill requests. Travel to client meetings and conferences. Produce high-quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Understand publication guidelines and prepare manuscripts accordingly. Explain complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely. Who You Are

Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) in health science. 1-3 years of experience in medical education/medical affairs or a pharmaceutical role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel). Willingness to travel. Candidates will complete a writing test before interviewing. What We Offer
