Overview
Lead night-shift field operations on active airport construction projects. This role is responsible for safety, schedule execution, subcontractor coordination, and quality control in secure, high-traffic environments. Work is performed during off-hours during specific project phases to maintain continuous airport operations. The Superintendent partners closely with Project Managers and trade partners and provides day-to-day leadership for field teams.
Aviation project scope may include
Terminal, parking, and building system upgrades
Electrical, mechanical, and technology improvements
Restroom and interior renovations
Tenant improvement and concession work
Emergency power and life-safety systems
Responsibilities
Lead all night-shift field operations and subcontractor coordination
Execute short-interval schedules and nightly work plans
Conduct safety, coordination, and handoff meetings
Enforce safety and quality standards in secure airport environments
Coordinate RFIs, submittals, and inspections with the Project Manager
Track progress and complete daily field reports
Support cost control, change documentation, and manpower planning
Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field engineers
Qualifications
5–8 years of commercial construction experience
1–2 years in a lead Superintendent or equivalent field leadership role
Aviation, municipal, or industrial project experience with a general contractor
Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
Compensation Package
$125,000–$135,000 base salary + annual bonus
