Job Title: Sr. Business Analyst / Mortgage BA Specialist
Location: New York, NY, 10036 – Hybrid Role
Salary: $120-140K Max
The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with US-based clients, servicers, and cross-functional technology teams to drive end-to-end business analysis across the residential mortgage lifecycle. This role requires deep expertise in US mortgage processes, multiple file servicers, MISMO data standards, and credit/securities domain fundamentals.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years in US Mortgage / Residential Lending domain.
Strong understanding of loan origination, underwriting, servicing.
Hands-on with MISMO standards and loan data mapping.
Strong SQL/data analysis, Excel, workflow understanding.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
Lead end-to-end requirement discovery for Origination, Underwriting, Closing, Post-closing, Servicing, MSR, and Secondary Market workflows.
Analyze and document business processes aligned with US mortgage guidelines.
MISMO & Data Mapping Expertise
Perform detailed MISMO 3.3+ data mapping for residential loans.
Map loan tapes, servicing tapes, MSR datasets, and validation rules.
Multiple Servicers & Vendor Platform Experience
Work with platforms like Black Knight MSP, Encompass, LUSY, etc.
Perform data ingestion, quality validation, and impact analysis.
Credit, Risk & Securities Domain
Analyze borrower credit attributes, pricing factors, risk layers.
Support workflows related to mortgage-backed securities and MSR valuation.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with Product Owners, SMEs, Engineering, and QA.
Documentation & Process Governance
Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process maps, and data dictionaries.
