Summary This individual works alongside other members of the Davidson Investment Advisors team, including Operations, Client Service, Business Development and Portfolio Management, in facilitating fixed income and equity investment strategy trades and professionally managing client portfolios.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or a related field
2+ years of experience in equity and/or fixed income trading within an RIA, broker-dealer, trust company, or other financial services firm
Ability to work independently, think through complex problems, and provide thoughtful, solutions-oriented responses
High proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; advanced Excel capabilities are preferred
Self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment effectively
Detail-oriented with an ownership mentality towards the quality of your work
Collaborative mindset with a commitment to contributing to team success
Duties
Execute trades for fixed income and equity portfolios, including:
Build orders for individual accounts and block trading
Analyze current and prospective client portfolios to facilitate strategy implementation and tax loss harvesting
Maintain and update portfolios and portfolio models within our portfolio accounting system; implement and manage client trading restrictions
Facilitate communication of trade order allocation details between custodians and executing brokers; research/resolve discrepancies to ensure timely trade settlement
Perform post-trade compliance checks to ensure accuracy of data and compliance with portfolio rules
Drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and optimize workflows; proactively seek ways to improve the team’s processes
Perform any other duties and special projects as necessary
Adhere to all the firm’s Code of Ethics and Policies and Procedures, as well as its Team Agreement
