Work Shift DAY (United States of America)
Summary of Duties Creates communications media and advertising materials for Marketing & Sales. Writes copy for promotions, direct mailings, and advertising of Merit's products.
Essential Function Performed
Meets with managers to discuss communication and advertising needs.
Reviews current and previous literature in the assigned marketing project and gathers materials from other competitive companies in the field.
Researches, writes, and develops sketches of supporting graphics and presents recommendations to managers.
Makes arrangements for the development of videotape scripts and reviews the editing and voice-overs to assure it meets quality expectations.
Develop and write copy for assigned projects.
Edit or rewrites existing copy.
May develop and coordinate multimedia packages such as letters, brochures, video, point-of-purchase displays, etc.
Assist with developing practices and procedures related to marketing, advertising and sales promotion materials.
Review advertising trends, consumer surveys, and other data regarding marketing of similar products.
Ensure written materials are in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
Performs other related duties and tasks as required.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications
Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field and three years of marketing communication experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as a team member.
Familiarity with business entities and how multiple departments function.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to manage projects efficiently and effectively and to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
Demonstrate computer skills with the following programs: Microsoft Suite-Word, Excel, PowerPoint; and Adobe Suite-Photoshop, InDesign, Bridge, Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat Professional (PDF).
