We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Outbound Account Executive (OAE) to join our sales team. Reporting to the VP of Sales, this is a full-cycle, net-new role responsible for independently prospecting, selling, and closing InsCipher’s products and services. The OAE owns the entire sales process—from initial outreach through close—and plays a critical role in driving new customer acquisition.
Successful candidates can clearly articulate InsCipher’s subscription-based, software-enhanced services and are comfortable building and managing their own pipeline. This role blends company-sourced leads with independent outbound strategies, requiring strong prospecting skills, disciplined follow-up, and confident deal execution. With aggressive growth goals ahead, ambition, focus, creativity, and hustle are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities
Consistently generate and close new business to exceed individual and company revenue targets
Independently prospect into new accounts using outbound email, phone, social selling, and research-driven strategies
Follow up promptly and professionally on inbound leads generated by Marketing, advancing them through the sales funnel
Own the full sales cycle from first contact through discovery, demo, negotiation, and close
Deliver clear, compelling sales presentations and product demos to business owners and department leaders
Confidently answer detailed questions about InsCipher’s offerings and clearly communicate customer value and ROI
Build consultative, trust-based relationships by understanding each prospect’s business challenges and tailoring solutions accordingly
Collaborate with Marketing on outbound campaigns to drive demand and improve funnel performance
Research and qualify prospects using trade publications, industry resources, and social platforms
Prepare sales service agreements and pricing proposals in collaboration with the VP of Sales and Legal
Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and activity records in the CRM
Participate actively in weekly sales meetings to review goals, pipeline health, and performance
Travel to customer sites and industry events as needed (anticipated up to ~20%)
Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Performance Expectations
Year 1 new business target:
$500K in closed-won revenue
Success is driven by consistent outbound activity, disciplined pipeline management, strong discovery, and effective closing execution
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
2–5 years of experience in consultative B2B sales
2+ years of Surplus Lines / Non-Admitted Insurance experience preferred
SaaS or InsurTech sales experience preferred but not required
Strong research skills with the ability to understand a prospect’s business and speak at their level
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate InsCipher’s value proposition
Consultative selling mindset—able to listen actively, ask strong questions, and guide productive conversations
Comfortable working autonomously, taking initiative, and learning the business quickly after onboarding
Coachable and receptive to feedback, with a growth-oriented mindset
Experience using CRM tools; HubSpot experience is a plus
