
Overview
The Sales Analyst will play a critical role in driving NPIC’s growth by turning data into actionable insights that optimize sales performance across e-commerce, retailer channels, and private label. This role will support the Sales & Marketing team with analytics, forecasting, reporting, critical daily tasks and process improvements that strengthen customer relationships, guide business decisions, and help NPIC achieve aggressive growth targets. Key Responsibilities
Data Analytics & Reporting
Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data from multiple channels (Amazon Vendor Central Central, Chewy, Walmart, Target, Petco, H-E-B, etc.) Create and maintain weekly/monthly sales dashboards and scorecards for leadership. Provide actionable insights on trends, promotional effectiveness, and customer behavior.
Forecasting & Planning
Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop demand forecasts by SKU, channel, and customer. Support planning cycles (budget, P70 forecast, trade spend) with accurate, data-driven projections. Monitor sell-in vs. sell-through performance to flag risks and opportunities. Analyze customer POS data, inventory reports, and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities. Benchmark NPIC against competitors, highlighting gaps in pricing, distribution, and promotions. Provide insights that support account-specific strategies and joint business planning.
Process Improvement & Tools
Enhance data accuracy and consistency across ERP and CRM systems. Automate recurring reporting processes to increase efficiency. Support sales team requests with ad hoc analyses, paperwork processing, and sample arrangements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field. 2–4 years of experience in sales analysis, category management, or business analytics (CPG or pet industry preferred). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) a plus. Familiarity with Amazon Vendor Central, Walmart Scintilla, and syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, or SPINS) preferred. Excellent communication skills — able to distill complex data into clear insights and recommendations. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. What We Offer
