Intertec GmbH
Sales and Business Development Specialist (German Speaking)
Intertec GmbH, New Bremen, Ohio, United States
Sales and Business Development Specialist (German Speaking)
Intertec is a Munich-based software development company that solves the problems keeping DACH manufacturing and enterprise CTOs awake at night. For over a decade, we've partnered with Fortune 500 companies and DAX-listed enterprises. Their legacy systems are time bombs with retirement notices attached. Their AI initiatives are stuck in cloud vendor lock-in. Their ERP systems are 80% of what they need—and they compete in the other 20%. We don't sell generic "digital transformation." We deliver:
Legacy modernization that doesn't bet the business on a big-bang rewrite
On-premise AI that manufacturing executives can actually control
Custom integrations that make their ERP work the way their business actually operates
We're looking for a driven and personable Sales and Business Development Specialist to join our growing DACH sales team. This is a high-impact role where you'll be instrumental in expanding our footprint across the German-speaking market.
Reporting directly to the C-level, you'll own the full business development cycle—from identifying and qualifying prospects, to orchestrating executive-level meetings, to supporting proposal development and contract negotiations.
You'll also play a key role in pre-sales activities, working alongside our technical teams to understand client requirements and shape compelling solutions.
Additionally, you'll represent Intertec at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, presenting our capabilities and building our brand presence in the DACH market.
This isn't a back-office role; you'll be the face of Intertec, building relationships with C-level decision-makers at some of DACH's most prominent enterprises.
This role is ideal for someone who:
Has a deep understanding of the custom software development industry
Thrives on building relationships and opening doors
Wants direct exposure to enterprise sales and pre-sales at the highest level
Is comfortable presenting to audiences and representing the company at public events
Is excited to represent a company with a proven track record and blue-chip client roster
Seeks rapid professional growth with mentorship from experienced leadership
What You Bring
3+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management—preferably in IT services, software development, or technology consulting
Deep understanding of the custom software development industry, including development methodologies, technology stacks, and delivery models
Fluent German (native or C1+) and professional English—both written and spoken
Proven ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders via phone, video, and in-person
Comfortable presenting to groups and representing the company at professional events
Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail
Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Preferred
Experience in pre-sales or solution consulting roles
Experience selling technology services to enterprise clients in the DACH region
Understanding of legacy modernization, cloud migration, AI/ML, or digital transformation initiatives
Existing network within German enterprise IT departments
Track record of event participation or public speaking
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field
The Right Mindset
Hunter mentality: You're energized by prospecting and opening new accounts
Technical curiosity: You genuinely want to understand how custom software solves business problems
Presentation confidence: You're comfortable in the spotlight and enjoy representing the company
Resilience: You handle rejection professionally and learn from every conversation
Team player: You collaborate openly while taking ownership of your targets
Hands-on: You're willing to roll up your sleeves—no task is beneath you
What You'll Do
Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and research target accounts across the DACH region using market intelligence and strategic analysis
Execute outbound campaigns (calls, emails, LinkedIn) to generate qualified opportunities
Develop 5-8 qualified potential customers per six months, building a sustainable pipeline for long-term growth
Participate actively in pre-sales activities, collaborating with technical teams to understand client requirements and craft tailored solutions
Conduct discovery conversations to uncover client challenges, technical environments, and business priorities
Translate technical capabilities into business value propositions that resonate with decision-makers
Support the creation of technical proposals, estimates, and proof-of-concept scoping
Events & Company Representation
Represent Intertec at industry events, IT summits, trade shows, and networking functions across the DACH region
Present the company's capabilities, case studies, and value proposition to prospective clients and industry audiences
Build brand awareness and generate leads through active event participation and follow-up
Contribute to the planning and execution of Intertec-hosted events and webinars
Relationship Development
Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers (CTOs, CIOs, IT Directors, Heads of Engineering)
Represent Intertec professionally in all client-facing interactions
Farm existing relationships to identify expansion opportunities and referrals
Prepare comprehensive meeting briefs and competitive intelligence for sales engagements
Collaborate with technical teams to develop tailored proposals and presentations
Translate engineering capabilities into business value propositions that resonate with executives who've heard every vendor pitch
Support contract negotiations and coordinate with legal/finance on deal structuring
Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular pipeline reporting
Strategic Contribution
Provide market feedback to shape go-to-market strategies and service offerings
Identify emerging opportunities in verticals such as automotive, manufacturing, logistics, and financial services
Contribute to thought leadership initiatives and brand positioning in the DACH market
What We Offer
Competitive compensation with performance-based bonuses
Hybrid/remote flexibility
Direct mentorship from C-level leadership and exposure to enterprise sales strategy
Career growth path into senior sales, account management, or leadership roles
International environment working with teams across Germany and Europe
Event participation at leading industry conferences and trade shows
Continuous learning through training, certifications, and industry conferences
Modern tech stack and tools to support your success
