Description

The Charter Sales Manager is a key leader for the organization, directing the momentum and strategy of the sales team as the department drives towards continued growth. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining valuable and profitable relationships with our clients/partners in addition to developing and mentoring our sales team. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and will provide the right leader an opportunity to grow, create, and influence the direction of one of private aviation’s fastest growing companies.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee the hiring, training, and daily management of our Sales Team

Lead the teams to exceeding revenue goals through ad-hoc charter sales, as well as strategic industry partnerships

Meets their own individual sales quota.

Constantly seek and structure opportunities to increase efficiency in the sales cycle

Identify and close on strategic partnerships within the 135 industry

Lead and nurture current partnerships

Coach and develop charter sales executives for continued professional growth

Collaborate with executive team, operational teams, and marketing on growing revenue channels

Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policy and applicable laws, including but not limited to interviewing, selection, hiring, training, scheduling, appraising, rewarding, disciplining, mentoring, and terminating employees

Assist with the development and rollout of departmental targets, goals, and KPIs

Assist Marketing team with ensuring that the use and distribution of all marketing support materials are relevant and correct to include industry websites, aircraft flyers, website, sales CRM, quoting software, etc.

Remain current on company and competitor product offerings, aircrafts, charter pricing, and travel trends

Represent the company in a professional manner at trade shows and industry/marketing events

You may be required to work or be available via phone and/or e-mail at irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You may be required to travel in this position, up to 40% of the time including out-of-state and overnight travel, weekends, and holidays.

Experience and Qualifications

The most successful candidate in the position will meet most, if not all, of the following criteria.

Minimum of 5 years of luxury charter sales and/or revenue management experience , 3 of which must be in a leadership capacity at a Part 135 charter operator

Excellent leadership and coaching skills

Familiar with Avinode, FL3XX or similar flight management software

Top-notch negotiation skills and the ability to problem-solve on the fly

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and drive results

Solution oriented – presents a problem with a suggested solution.

Demonstrates strong leadership skills through taking accountability and ownership

Proven to work effectively in a team environment or independently

Detail obsessed with a proven ability to prioritize multiple objectives in a changing environment

The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Must work well under pressure and be able to multitask

Be willing to work during off-hours, weekends and holidays

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Demonstrate broad knowledge of the functional area. Exercise independent judgment

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform required duties. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger and required to reach with hands and arms. There is no significant standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling. The person in this position needs to be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. There is a constant operation of a telephone and computer. The employee may be lifting up to 15 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust and focus.
