Responsibilities
Owns the execution of omnichannel content across leading US retail partners, such as Petco, PetSmart, Walmart, Target, and Costco. This role is highly cross-functional, requiring collaboration with internal teams, agencies, and retail partners to deliver shopper experiences with impact.
Ensure our pet products are represented with compelling and compliant content both online and in-store. Responsible for end-to-end execution; gaining all necessary approvals for content (e.g., product detail pages, enhanced content, on-site banners, customer e-mail campaigns) and Shopper Marketing/Instore executions to achieve business goals.
Play a key role within the U.S. Pet Retail team, ensuring omnichannel customers have both digital and in-store content. Interact directly with external and internal stakeholders (Customers, Sales, Retail leadership, channel strategists, brand teams, regulatory, shopper agency, and legal).
Apply skills in marketing, project management, communication and diplomacy to effectively deliver on the role's responsibilities.
Lead deployment of Boehringer brand and product content assets (e.g., product display pages, on-site banners, customer email brand messaging/creative) to key omnichannel sites (PetSmart, Petco, Walmart, Target and Costco).
Lead and deliver omnichannel merchandising projects when requested by Channel Strategists, including proxies cards, proxy boxes, shippers, end caps, pallets, etc.
Assist in the development of content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing objectives. Edit, proofread, and improve agency creative when necessary. Handle POs and invoicing related to omnichannel projects. Serve as the link between brand, agency partners, content syndication partner and customers across multiple projects related to retail content and brand assets.
Coordinate as the link between brand and content writers to ensure brand consistency. Own and manage all project content approvals through the legal and regulatory process (AHRC) to ensure brand, regulatory and legal compliance.
Present and facilitate omnichannel content-related discussions with external customer counterparts and agency partners. Drive significant component of retail business success, owning direct engagement and influence across multiple sources.
Establish open, transparent communication, using diplomatic skills to lead discussions at several levels of the organization and with key customers, delivering results that align with Boehringer's interests.
Manage multiple stakeholders and share learnings, processes, and best practices with peers and leadership.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; marketing or relevant field preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years with content strategy and management experience, with CPG experience mandatory; knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics or relevant experience.
Experience in retail with a large to mid-sized corporate customer.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, SharePoint, and Outlook.
Limited, but occasional travel required (may include overnight travel).
Salsify and Veeva Vault experience a plus.
Digital & Shopper Marketing, Social Media, or e-retail experience preferred.
Project Management certifications a plus.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), interpersonal skills, project ownership and diplomacy to convey strategic vision as well as detailed information to a diverse population.
Demonstrated excellent presentation skills and ability to lead external partners.
Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
Demonstrated organizational, project ownership, and time-management capabilities.
Ability to set priorities, plan and coordinate work activities in a changing environment and manage time and resources to deliver on objectives.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Digitally savvy and curious about retail dynamics; understands customer content strategy and priorities.
Models willingness to learn and stay up-to-date; able to own multiple projects across functional areas.

Eligibility
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
