Overview

We are looking for a Territory Sales Representative in East Michigan to help us grow our large portfolio which includes big brands such as: Dope Rope, Stickee, Budderface, Unsubscr*bed, and Sauce Essentials (with more brands coming soon!) within Michigan licensed dispensaries. In this role you will establish and grow relationships within your assigned territory. As a Territory Sales Representative, you will identify new opportunities, increase revenue, support accounts, and close new business in your territory. This is not a “phone it-in position” and the role requires frequent travel within your territory for face-to-face meetings and building relationships with store-level staff.

Responsibilities

Executing on sales targets and brand-specific priorities including retail education, merchandising, events, and marketing.

Creating raving fans! You must have the natural ability to make friends everywhere you go!

Orchestrating well-thought pre-call planning, route optimization, and purposeful follow-ups.

Be an expert in your territory regarding industry trends, retail health, competitive landscapes, and category data.

Effectively communicate a broad range of technical and non-technical features and benefits of a large portfolio of products in every cannabis category.

Represent the entire portfolio of Detour with professionalism and accountability, spending a minimum of 4 days per week in the trade with 1 admin day at home office/remote.

Maintaining CRM records which requires daily input and management. The ideal candidate will have the drive to WIN and have success working remotely and autonomously.

Minimum Qualifications

4 year degree

At least (1) year of experience in a customer service, CPG, sales, or hospitality position

Recent graduates will be considered, with preference given to candidates who successfully completed internships or work within CPG, sales, marketing, or hospitality.

Must reside in East Michigan (Metro Detroit preferred)

Must be 21 years of age or older

Must have reliable transportation

Compensation: $50k base salary with quarterly bonus potential, with OTE of $75K+
