Overview
The Instructional Designer plays a key role in creating high-quality learning experiences that support our client's organizational performance. This role blends instructional design expertise with multimedia development to build engaging eLearning modules, facilitator guides, job aids, and other learning resources. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver who can collaborate with subject matter experts and translate complex information into effective learning solutions. What You’ll Do
Design and develop training materials, including eLearning, instructor-led content, job aids, and digital learning tools. Define learner outcomes, objectives, content structure, delivery methods, and instructional strategies. Manage project timelines and deliver learning solutions on schedule and within scope. Apply proven instructional design theories, models, and best practices across all learning products. Ensure all online materials meet system requirements and accessibility standards. Collaborate with SMEs, instructors, and business leaders to gather information and shape content. Upload, organize, and maintain course files in systems such as SharePoint and the LMS. Update and republish courses based on customer needs or governance requirements. Utilize adult learning principles and eLearning technologies to enhance learner engagement. Lead or contribute to project teams, organizing and monitoring work with minimal supervision. Research emerging tools, technologies, and trends to continuously improve learning design. What You Bring
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Experience & Skills
Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360), animation software, and similar development tools required. Experience in power generation, power delivery, transmission, construction, or related industries preferred. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, narration tools, and AI-driven instructional design tools preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required. Project management experience required. Strong facilitation, presentation, and relationship-building skills required. Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) strongly preferred.
