Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join our team at Orange County High as a full-time Marketing Teacher. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the dynamic world of marketing, develop critical thinking skills, and apply practical knowledge in real-world scenarios. The teacher will create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and a deep understanding of marketing principles. Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing curriculum that aligns with state standards and student needs. Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methods and technologies. Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations, providing timely feedback. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Guide students in hands-on projects, including marketing campaigns, business simulations, and community outreach initiatives. Stay current with industry trends and integrate relevant content into the curriculum. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities. Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of marketing practices. Contribute to the school community through involvement in extracurricular activities and events. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Education, or a related field; Valid teaching certification in Marketing or Business Education or willing to obtain a Virginia teaching license. Proven experience in teaching marketing or business-related subjects at the high school level preferred. Strong understanding of marketing concepts, digital marketing, and contemporary business practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment. Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success. Experience in developing and implementing curriculum and assessment methods is a plus.
