What Product and Solutions Marketing contributes to Cardinal Health Marketing is responsible for assessing customer needs, market conditions and competition to inform business strategy. Marketing implements the strategy through developing, commercializing and monitoring the appropriate products and services.

Product & Solutions Marketing is responsible for defining the product/service and market strategy and life cycle management including customer need identification, market research, product or service offering, pricing, positioning, promotion, branding and distribution to drive customer loyalty, sales growth and improved profitability.

Category Marketing Summary The Category Marketing Team is responsible for developing strategy and process for supplier marketing that grows category growth, margin, and product distribution. This includes developing supplier and private label marketing plans, identifying new market opportunities, guaranteeing contractual marketing obligations are met, securing and managing trade fund dollars, and ensuring successful execution of supplier and private label plans and category goals.

Exhibits an ability to translate market and customer needs into clearly defined goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics to drive sales & profitability for the business

Accountable for gaining and driving cross functional support from all stakeholders

Demonstrates basic knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts necessary for building a business & marketing plan, including identifying the appropriate channels to market

Has the ability to understand market trends and competitive positioning.

Demonstrates strong financialumen and logical decision making in the general business environment. Understands and can demonstrate sound thought processes as it relates to pricing, deal structure and assessing financial implications

Works effectively across cross functional groups including but not limited to IT, communications, operations, and sales

Responsibilities

Responsible for the development of marketing plans and campaigns, in collaboration with Category Managers and Planners, that drives category growth and defined goals

Develops supplier marketing plans in collaboration with suppliers, Category Manager, and leadership

Works cross-functionally to ensure marketing execution of assigned categories

Supports the team by executing assigned tasks, document maintenance, and marketing asset reviews

Assists with other tasks when needed to achieve goals of the Consumer Health marketing team

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

2+ years experience in related field, preferred

Marketing planning and/or product marketing experience, preferred

Experience in business-to-consumer and/or business-to-business marketing, preferred

Ability to apply consumer trends, behaviors and insights to marketing plans

Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize projects effectively with high attention to detail

Demonstrates analytical skills and curiosity

Strong communication and presentation skills

Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity

Identifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes actions to resolve

Anticipated salary range: $68,500 - $88,020
