Internship or applicable experience in communications, social media or public relations-related role Degree in in Communication, Public Relations or related fields Interest in building a career in public relations and strategic communications Fast learner with an inquisitive mind and eye for detail Ability to manage time well, multitask and prioritize deadlines Proficient writer and editor Self-starter + hungry to learn Responsibilities
Produce monthly client plans and briefing/recap materials for meetings Coordinate media relations efforts, including identifying appropriate media contacts, building contact lists, developing engaging pitches, reaching out to media, and tracking efforts Day-to-day community management of client social media accounts answering all comments, DMs, managing following/followers Creation of social media and other graphics using Canva Assist in gathering data for measurement reports Channel the strategy and client's voice to develop clear and compelling communications, including press releases, pitches, social content, emails, etc. Actively participate in client/team meetings, offering creative ideas/solutions Promptly seek help or counsel when needed, from appropriate senior staff Represents and promotes the agency at industry/community events Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40k/year Hybrid model (remote work + in person meetings / events / work sessions in CHS) Generous PTO Generous health benefits plan (CBPR pays for 100%, $6k/year value) 10% commission on any new clients the employee signs Monthly stipend for Charleston restaurant visits
