Business Banker - Capital City Bank - More than your bank, Your Banker.
General Summary This position delivers a full range of banking services to businesses and business owners and places emphasis on client contact, sales, and service. The position requires significant outside business development activities. The associate must adhere to the Bank's Motor Vehicle Guidelines and comply with the S.A.F.E. Act, including registration in the NMLS Registry.
All associates at Capital City Bank, Capital City Wealth, and Capital City Home Loans have access to confidential client information and must practice discretion at all times.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for loan production, deposit production, fees, credit quality and referrals each incentive period as well as maintaining and servicing current client portfolio. Responsible for growing the overall Business Banking portfolio. Goals will be provided.
Operates with various degrees of authority and specialization.
Responsible for calling on retail clients and prospects, referrals and joint revenue opportunities with Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate and other Business Partners.
Build, maintain and grow quality client portfolios that bring revenue to the Bank.
Support of overall Bank production goals as outlined by quarterly targets and scorecards.
Responsible for sales and service of existing businesses and business owners within the departmental portfolio.
Responsible for identifying business production opportunities and ability to identify referrals to business partners.
Meets with clients to discuss small business needs and recommends ways in which the bank can serve their needs.
Proactive business development and calling within assigned market areas.
Cross‑sell a full range of business banking services and products through joint efforts with Business Partners to present to potential clients.
Active community participation and visibility.
Demonstrates consistent behaviors that support Top of House and department‑specific strategic goals.

All associates must understand and adhere to the non‑negotiable Banker Standards and commit to practicing SGNNT (smile, greet, name, name, thank you) at all times. Associates will consistently follow policies and procedures as established by Capital City Bank, Capital City Wealth, and Capital City Home Loans, with department managers setting the standard.
Associated Duties
Provides additional support to manager and department colleagues.
Partners with assigned Client Service Managers and designated Business Partners.
Completes all assigned/required Bank training within established timelines.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) Required The following KSA’s are usually acquired through specialized business training course(s) and related experience:
Credit and financial analysis
Loan and credit structuring
Loan documentation and loan closing processes
Specific product knowledge related to Cash Management products and business loan products
Knowledge of Consumer and Business banking products/product sales
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Microsoft Office Suite
Individual will have existing proficiency or an ability to promptly learn the following Capital City Bank operating software applications:
Jack Henry /Experience
Decision Pro
Synergy
Others as required
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field, from an accredited college required. Relevant experience may substitute for the education requirement.
Seasoned professional with minimum of 5‑10 years experience. Commercial or Savings Bank experience in lending, operations, deposit management, administration, and/or cash management preferred.
Working Conditions
Professional office and fast‑paced environment.
After hours civic and business development participation will be required.
Frequent out‑of‑office visits to clients.
Limited travel to surrounding markets.
Driving as required by position.
In the rare instance of a major or extensive natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic occurrence, or other disruption within our footprint, it may be necessary for associates to relocate or telecommute before, during or after, to ensure business continuity.
