This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations. Blue Origin is seeking an experienced sales leader to drive our commercial strategy and revenue growth in the data center market. This role will lead our engagement with major data center operators, cloud service providers, and enterprise customers to address their connectivity, redundancy, and global network expansion needs through Blue Origin\'s advanced connectivity solutions that extend beyond traditional terrestrial networks. This position offers an opportunity to shape the future of global digital infrastructure while working at the intersection of space technology and next-generation connectivity solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from early engagement through contract close
- Own commercial strategy and revenue growth for data center providers, hyperscalers, and enterprise customers
- Establish and nurture C-level relationships with key decision makers at target accounts
- Define and sell clear value propositions for global connectivity, redundancy, and latency-sensitive workloads
- Translate experience with terrestrial network architectures into space-enabled connectivity use cases
- Develop annual sales plans with detailed account strategies, pipeline forecasts, and revenue targets
- Partner with product and solutions teams to align offerings with customer/market needs and technical environments
Qualifications
- 10+ years of technology sales experience with 5+ years in leadership roles
- Proven track record selling complex technology solutions to data center operators, cloud providers, or similar enterprise customers
- Deep understanding of data center operations, infrastructure requirements, and technology trends
- Experience with global network services, connectivity solutions, or related technologies
- Experience with global fiber networks, internet exchange points (IXPs), and data center interconnection
- Knowledge of terrestrial network limitations and how complementary technologies can address these challenges
- Strong background in solution selling and consultative sales methodologies
- Excellent executive presentation and communication skills
- Bachelor\'s degree required, advanced degree in technical field or MBA preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time to customer locations
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with complementary network technologies including wireless, microwave, and satellite communications
- Experience with hybrid network architectures that combine terrestrial and non-terrestrial solutions
- Knowledge of edge computing, distributed cloud architecture, or global network design
- Background in selling high-availability infrastructure solutions or critical communications services
- Understanding of global data privacy and sovereignty requirements
Compensation and Location
Compensation Range for CA applicants is $169,624.00 - $237,473.25 and WA applicants is $169,624.00 - $237,473.25. Other site ranges may differ.
