Phone Sales Representative Job Duties & Responsibilities Customer Engagement: Provide exceptional service to clients via phone and email, acting as a knowledgeable resource for all product and service inquiries. Outbound Sales & Follow-up: Conduct proactive outbound calls to follow up on leads, address pending inquiries, and provide detailed information to prospective clients. Revenue Generation: Identify opportunities to upsell products or services, tailoring recommendations to meet specific customer needs and increase total account value. Data Management: Perform precise data entry tasks to update customer profiles, track interactions, and ensure the CRM system remains current. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve complex issues and ensure a seamless end-to-end experience for the customer. Phone Sales Representative Requirements Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Technical Proficiency: Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in data entry and the ability to navigate multiple software platforms simultaneously. Soft Skills: A positive attitude, high level of patience, and genuine empathy when handling diverse customer personalities. Problem Solving: Excellent critical thinking abilities and sharp attention to detail to resolve issues efficiently. Adaptability: Proven ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and remain flexible as procedures or processes evolve. Phone Sales Representative Preferred Qualifications Experience: Previous professional experience in a sales or customer service role. Language: Fluency in English is required; multilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, French, or Mandarin) are considered a significant asset. Sales Acumen: A demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets or performance KPIs.
