Job Description

Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies that drive business growth and protect the company's reputation. Increase employee engagement and drive communication for key change initiatives. Align BD Urology & Critical Care employees with BDs overall purpose, strategy, and culture. Support external public relations efforts and social media strategy. Lead community relations and engagement activities in partnership with local leadership and community investment partners. Amplify storytelling around BD Hometowns initiatives. Align efforts with Urology & Critical Care Marketing teams and Corporate Communications on customer-focused PR opportunities. Act as Urology & Critical Care lead for issues management and crisis communication. Develop, manage, and implement Urology & Critical Care organic social media to support BD and Urology & Critical Care strategy. Act as a consultant and strategic thought partner to the business president and leadership team. Research, write, edit, and publish content for communication vehicles including intranet, town halls, video scripts, and emails. Support business and cultural integration efforts for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Support communication and engagement in Inclusion & Diversity initiatives and events. Analyze and report on the effectiveness of communication efforts using data and metrics. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or a related field. Minimum 10 years professional communications experience required, with experience working on transformation initiatives. Experience in external communications/public relations and social media. Experience with web and other digital communication technologies and tools. Strategic and proactive problem solver with the ability to see the big picture. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with strong editing capabilities; expertise in AP Style writing preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), Adobe, PR Newswire, Media Monitoring Services, and LinkedIn. Willingness to travel up to 30%.
