At Skill Demand Energy, we support the Energy Trust of Oregon's Residential incentive programs, helping households - especially BIPOC, low-income, and rural communities - access energy efficiency resources that make life more affordable and sustainable. We're hiring a Contact Center Representative who can handle high call volume with calm confidence, bring precision to data entry, and show up as a thoughtful teammate in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment. What you'll actually be doing: Handle a high volume of inbound customer calls with professionalism, accuracy, and empathy Process residential incentive applications and related documentation Answer detailed questions about incentive eligibility, requirements, and timelines Resolve disputed incentive claims using policy interpretation and problem-solving skills Support contractors and community-based organizations with program inquiries Perform accurate and consistent data entry across multiple systems Maintain clear and well-written customer records and documentation Follow established processes accurately and produce error-free work Participate in process improvement and quality assurance initiatives Mentor and support developing team members as needed This role requires focus, follow-through, and professionalism. You'll likely succeed in this role if you: Have 3+ years of call or contact center experience Are known for your strong work ethic and reliability Have solid professional references who will vouch for your integrity Can manage high call volume without sacrificing accuracy Are meticulous with data entry and customer documentation, and have previous experience using CRM systems Solve problems proactively instead of passing them along Maintain healthy work-life balance and have established self-care routines Enjoy working with younger colleagues and see value in mentoring and advising Communicate clearly, respectfully, and confidently, especially when explaining complex information A college degree is preferred, but experience and capability matter more.
